Both clients love to cook and entertain — they wanted their family and friends to feel like they could sit down anywhere, fall asleep with a good book and one of their nine poodles curled up next to them.

We did not want a "decorated look", one dimensional and flat; so we chose a casual eclectic look. Ralph Lauren theme — mixing and layering lots of textures in soft hues of blue, brown and green. Art and accessories emphasize the clients love of animals and natural mountain themes.

Much of the remodeling had to encompass exposing the gorgeous mountain views — therefore, doors were moved and windows created — the outdoors were brought into the home as much as possible.

The mountain theme was also incorporated into the kitchen by using the existing walnut cabinets (only restaining the fronts) and building a similar island and banquet area — adding iron, river rock, and granite for a wonderful, natural feel.

This is one of my favorite houses — I could curl up in front of the fireplace and never leave.
